How to Learn Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary (or any other language) Fast!

Want to minimize your frustrations (and time spent) learning Hebrew vocabulary? Follow these simple tips to learn vocabulary:

1. Find "substitute words" that sound similar to the word you are learning. For example: "par" means "bull" in Hebrew. "Par" sounds like the English "Pear," so you would associate in your imagination a bull (target word) to "pear" (see a bull as a giant pear).

2. Look for visual cues in the word itself. In our previous example the "pe" has a dagesh in it - this looks like a bull's head.

3. Reduce your learning time. Less is more. When your attention and focus wanes, stop. Use more short intervals to learn.
